Madrid_Analog Punk/

Post-modernist selector fusing punk funk electro disco afro brasil
asian world jazz hop soul grooves.
Skillfully combining disparate elements and manipulating them into
a harmonious composition is essential to Madrid's aesthetic, one he
has shared with audiences around the world; He refuses to pay
attention to any of the boundaries cutting across music today.
Since the beginning of his musical career Madrid has been on the
lookout for hard-to-find and unusual tunes, gaining early
recognition for founding Ultra Urban Aesthetics as a distributor of
DJ mixes of NYC's top hip hop and reggae DJs such as Tony Touch,
Doo Wop and Juice. His devotion to bringing previously obscure
mixes came to the attention of Illinois Entertainer who spotlighted
his work in a feature article. In 1998, he moved on to organizing
underground dance events featuring local DJs, brining together many
creative individuals from Chicago's thriving art community, giving
Madrid the opportunity to begin DJing for receptive audiences on
his own. In 1999, his first residency at the Gaijin Hotel's trendy
fashion forward restaurant lounge gave way to gigs at Chicago
hotspots such as Le Passage, Sushi Samba Rio, the W Hotel,
Sonotheque, and J Bar. By 2000, Madrid soundtracked a PBS
documentary on Mayor Harold Washington soon to become a highly
sought out DJ for galleries, such as Gallery 312, the Art Institute
of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Field Museum, the
Museum of Science and Industry and Sotheby's Auction House. He also
appeared as a guest DJ for the Conjugate Projekt, moving party on
the Blue Line train.
The rest, as they say, is history. With a list of successful gigs
as diverse as his sets, Madrid has spun across north and south
America and Europe alongside such notables as Antibalas, Juan
Atkins, the Brazilian Girls, King Britt, Derrick Carter, DJ Cam,
Green Velvet, Gotan Project, the Hacker, Jazzanova, Osunlade, Larry
Tee and Ron Trent and has premiered for events for Akira, Jaguar,
Louis Vuitton and Vogue Magazine.
Madrid holds residencies at De la Costa Restaurant Lounge, the Merchandise Mart’s Style Max, Nacional 27 Restaurant, Puma Store and Rodan in Chicago. Current projects include production work with vocalist and artist Sadie Woods.

Chicago-based DJ hiLary Rawk has been getting parties started on
the ones and twos since her first show back in 2007. Her love for
music of all genres makes her one of the Windy's most diverse
players. She has had the opportunity to play along side
heavy-hitters like DatA and Detect (Paris), Guns 'N Bombs
(LA/Chicago), Sleazemore (LA), The House Moguls, Jordan Z, and
Marco Morales.
During her sets you can expect to hear a flawless mix of everything
from popular tracks by Michael Jackson, Prince and AC/DC to dance
tunes by the likes of Solvent, Chromeo, Justice, PNAU, Daft Punk,
and more. This girl will make you want to shake it, y'all, so don't
hold back.
