An exhibit comprised of 36 black and non-black artists, "Black Is, Black Ain't" examines the dichotomy between what pop culture sells us as "being black," and society's efforts to make race irrelevant.
Several professors get together at 6 p.m. on May 16 for a panel discussion in the University of Chicago's Swift Hall, Room 310 (third-floor lecture hall).
