About Filf Dos:

Filf Dos is a hiphop duo from Chicago - MC - Filfy and DJ - Jive Alive first worked together in 2004 as members of Rare Faction. They worked out of Ithaca, NY and performed roughly 70 live shows in New York, and Boston before disbanding in May 2006.  After disbanding Rare Faction Crew, Filfy went to Chicago and Jive moved to Oceanside, CA. They kept working together through the internet, and Filfy performed solo shows all over the place.  They linked up again as Filf Dos when Jive moved to Chicago in May 2007. Since then they have performed in Chicago, San Francisco, Boston and New York City while working on their debut full length Filfy Flirty.

About Actor Slash Model

Actor Slash Model (the band) is the Chicago based acoustic duet of Simon Strikeback and Madsen Minax, together creating a clean and succinct blend of skillful musicianship, captivating rythms, alluring harmonies, witty lyrics and overall charming entertainment.  Their stage performance alone has been said to be "completely entrancing," as their connective energy and interactions are humourous, yet concise and natural - the music is clean, tight and penatrative, yet Actor Slash Model is raw, real and fun. The performers are able to blend their seemless music into a comedic act of sorts, as their songs range in content from "nontraditional" love affairs, to fake moustaches, to homoerotic cowboys, to psuedo metal hair ballads and back again. The two draw from bluegrass and folk roots, yet also incorporate aspects of non traditional independant music, and therefore like to dub their genre "Indie-Grass." Though Actor Slash Model utilizes a playful means, often tongue in cheek, their lyrics convey the depth of political ideas, emotion and belief in every line.
