Select Media Festival 2008 (Event Over)

The  Select Media Festival, produced by the nonprofit  Public Media Institute, presents a week of experimental new-media shenanigans at Bridgeport's  Co-Prosperity Sphere. This year, Select's theme is "Infoporn" — an allusion to the infinite aesthetic possibilities of data visualization — featuring work by artists, designers, scientists, and collectives such as the  Yes Men, the  Future Farmers,  Paper Rad, and Paul Chan. The festival also features the launch of the  Bridgeport Art District (BAD), a monthly art happening.
