The “Greenest Home in Chicago” is back for 2009!
The real, three-story modular and sustainable “green”
home in the Museum of Science and Industry’s own backyard
reopens its doors on March 19, 2009.
Mayor Richard M. Daley and over 100,000 other people dropped by our
"home" in 2008. If you weren't among them, or even if you were, get
ready for an even greener Smart Home in 2009! Learn about the new
ways, big and small, that you can make eco-friendly living a part
of your life.
What makes the Smart Home green? Is it the elegant tile made from
old glass bottles? Or the cutting-edge solar film that pulls the
power of the sun—even from a grey sky? Or outdoor decks made
from used plastic bags? Visit the Smart Home: Green + Wired exhibit
and discover why living green is living smart.
Smart Home: Green + Wired, Powered by ComEd, re-opens March 19.
