Art in the Time of Plagiarism: 2009! (Event Over)

The Country Club Chicago will be the spot to find work by a variety of artists including including Tony Fitzpatrick, Felicia G.E. Batzloff, Gary Batzloff, Julia Rochholz, Lena Kim Cohen (Nice Lena), Ashley Alexander (I’m Smitten), Mat Daly, Emily Rapport, Peter Axelsen, Layne Manzer and Dee Clements.   Works presented will range from paintings to handmade jewelry. A share of proceeds will benefit The Plagiarists.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Plagiarists and their upcoming productions, including the world premiere of The Wreck of the Medusa, which will run in spring of 2010.   The opening night reception will feature tunes by the Every People Jazz Workshop (featured in The One About the Green Detective, the Plagiarists’ wildly popular theatre-noir piece of 2008 and 2009).
