Geek Prom (Event Over)

for many of you, prom was a very long time ago. for some of you, it
may have been not so long ago. either way, there is an inherent
problem with most proms: they are insufficiently geeky. people are
dressed in fluffy dresses and tuxes, and they're not showing off
any shiny projects they're working on.
Pumping Station: One, Chicago's hackerspace, has set out to fix
this. on June 13, 2009, we are hosting the Geek Prom. there will be
music, dancing, drinking, exhibits, contests, and total geeky
utopia.
there will be two contests: an exolayer pairing contest, and a
science fair contest!
advance tickets are $10 for singles, $15 for couples. at the door,
tickets are $15 for singles, and $20 for couples.
