This month A.R.O.M.A. presents the Sonotheque World Music Finale celebrating our 11 month world music exploration at Sonotheque.  With Sonotheque experiencing mangerial changes in the foreseeable future, this special occasion will cover all the events and countries from our past events before we move on to a new location.  Come celebrate our last night at the fabulous venue with us on NOV 12 and become a part of the last A.R.O.M.A. Sonotheque experience!!!   Music will be programmed by DJ's Shannon Harris and David Chavez playing along side special guest DJ Brian K aka DJ WARP (Freak Easy/Bombay Beatbox/City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs).  Live percussion by Jim Bruno.  Live Vjing by Sin-R8.

Shannon Harris 

Coined as a renaissance man of this current millennium Shannon Harris has managed to stretch his talents in many directions from Djing, producing, composing, film, record label owner, fashion, studio engineering and as a artist/performer.  He possesses a dynamic ability to adapt himself to the ever changing industry while remaining pure to his visions and purpose.  Currently he is making his mark locally and globally on the international music scene with his events, expansive collections and personal productions.

David Chavez 

David Chavez, also known as just Chavez, has a great affinity for world culture and deep music.  His passion for both has, to a large extent, laid the path in front of him for most of his life.  Long time Chicago DJ, former program director of Chicago's HotHouse, and current Artistic Director for Sound Culture are just some indication of how serious he is.In the DJ booth he's like an ethnomusicologist, exploring world music by finding the threads that tie us together globally.  From Bhangra to Balkan Beat, African Soukous to Latin House, all the while keeping things moving smoothly on the dance floor.

Brian K aka DJ Warp

Brian Keigher has worked in various fields in the music industry over the last 15 years, including a six year position as the International and Electronic Music Buyer for Tower Records, a few years as a promotional and marketing representative for Astralwerks, Rawkus, and Grand Royal Record labels, followed by a position as an internet music programmer, where he created some of the first internet radio channels and online radio libraries for clients such as Verve, Blue Note, and Universal Records, Warner Brothers, Rolling Stone and Microsoft websites. For over seven years now, Brian has been organizing and producing music events for the City of Chicago’s Department of Cultural Affairs, including the annual World Music Festival: Chicago, Chicago SummerDance and DJ series, Ohm Mulitimedia series and the Music Without Borders international music series, he also books numerous events throughout the year at the Chicago Cultural Center and Millennium Park. He has booked and debuted hundreds of bands and music artists of all styles to Chicago audiences over the years.
