If you love good music but work 9-to-5, your live-listening options
are usually limited to the weekends, if at all. It's a night in
which local promoters bring out some of Chicago's finest turntable
talent for sessions that start at the after-work-friendly time of
8pm. (Although, in true club fashion, it really gets kicking a few
hours later.) Last year saw the likes of Derrick Carter, Heather,
Diz, Hiroki, Dj Jes and Fast Eddie, Trancid, Johnny Fiasco, Sativa,
John Simmons, Justin Long, Green Velvet, Brian G, Mazi, John
Patterson, Meotic, Michael Serafini, Lego, Chris Santiago, Dino G,
Frank Solano and many more ..electrify the inviting open-air
confines of Moonshine. This year we bring you more local tunes from
