   I just wanted to send out a giant humongo THANKSSS!!!! TO http://GOING.COM.
   I was the very lucky winner who won tickets to the event, airfare and hotel accomodations. My short lil vacation was nothing short of spectacular and it would'nt have been made possible if it weren't for going. The event was also really awesome, and I spent the entire day in beautiful weather listening to great music, and met some great people. Everything was better than I had originally anticipated. Unfortunately I don't have any pics cos I recently broke my camera but I seriously love you guys. Till next time...THANK YOUUUU

               we have our "underground" here and it is good. Not the mainstream bs. Everything else blows... the clubs, the nightlife, it really is lame.
               But considering some of the cities groups and tours go to, we should be on the list.
               The only way to make something good is to let the crowds see good.
               Turning your back on a crowd base doesn't fix the problem.
               And I am definitely not ignorant, I produced concerts all over the world for 8 years. I definitely know what is out there.

   Any plans for a tighter more intimate venue for Los Angeles? Im an old skool adidas shell toe stomping house luving midwest kid lost in los angeles! I need some house music from the home front on an intimate level. I suppose san fran is where i need to be besides for anything remotely close to that midwest swang! Im just not the "omg hella mega rave" avid goer anymore, ask Mr Farina he knows! keep me posted if Sue Dread can manage hosting you cats at Balance!

   I do not know any of the artists for this event, but trusting that Om Records is Bassnectar's Label, I trust these artists have a common root. If I win I shall come, I don't need a plane ticket as I'm an hour away from San Francisco, so that's a plus :)

    Thank you for running this contest and, in advance, for your consideration of the compelling points which follow.
    
    I believe I should be chosen for a trip to San Francisco because:
    
    1) I've had a hell of a year. I've started grad school while working full time and it's been really hard, and not that fun, all while
    
    2) living with a psychotic roommate who kicked my non-psycho roommate out of our apartment over an argument about putting a tuna fish can in a recycling bin, which then
    
    3) motivated me to find a new apartment on my own here in New York, which means
    
    4) I have no money for travel during the summer, at a time when I really especially could use a break. Like I really, really, really need one and am very burned out. But I won't take vacation days if I have to stay in NYC because it wouldn't be relaxing.
    
    In addition to these run-of-the mill but very real stresses, my ex boyfriend, whom I thought someday I would marry, and who I really really wanted to marry, HAS JUST COME OUT OF THE CLOSET, and it was preceded by basically no red flags. So I'm totally freaked out on top of being stressed out. And I'm usually relaxed and happy.
    
    OH, AND THIS IS NO SMALL POINT - I LOVE MUSIC! And San Francisco! And my West Coast friends who I haven't seen in over a year! I have a bunch of friends there whom I LOVE. And I may move to the West Coast next year so this would be a really good time for me to visit.
