Indeed, the Rothbury music festival is so epic that its worth traveling thousands of miles from the golden shores of California to the plains of Michigan to attend. Like all epic missions getting there is not going to be cheap or easy but it will be well worth it, and a pair of miracle tickets will seal the deal.
Its GOING to be EPIC!
Hook up the tickets, only the GAPERS will miss this one...

All I have had to look forward to this year as a birthday treat to myself was this Rothbury festival. It's been my dream to see most of these bands play live and most especially... Primus. I'm a huge fan of Les Claypool's bass playing and of Primus specifically. To see Les tear it up slapping on a Carl Thompson Bass Guitar... it would be like my dream come true.
A couple weeks ago before I went to buy my Rothbury weekend pass I had a financial setback. It turns out I have an impacted wisdom tooth on the bottom left side of my mouth. If anyone knows what tooth pain feels like they know I couldn't put this off. On the 10th of July I will be going in to have my surgery for its removal. Now with my medical bills and prescriptions I won't be able to afford my long awaited Rothbury adventure.Last post 518 days ago -

I haven't been able to boogy on down recently I just got my leg cast off last tuesday and I need to get my dancing feet back in gear for the summertime festival season. Both of my brothers bought their tickets early but I didnt think I would have cast off by then, and being a poor college student I can't afford to buy tickets this late; and honestly Rothbury's lineup is close to heavenly. I love all types of music and Rothbuy deffinetly covers my fix. There is no better Euphoria then to be dancing barefoot in the sunshine, surrounded by all the beautiful festival goers. Hopefully you the judges of this site can help me put an exclamation point on my summertime and get my dancing feet back in motion.Last post 518 days ago -

This passed year for me has been one of the craziest ever, I took a low paying job working with disabled and special needs children through art and creative learning. It is the best job I've ever done. Just to help a child feel proud of themselves and to smile, its priceless. My heart and head are clearer than ever and my patience are so great that I feel more benefit from these Children than I could ever with the money I am recieving. What an amazing gift to give and recieve. A childs heart and mind are truley our forthcoming influence.
I live in Michigans U.P. and if you have ever been here you know that the winters are more than just winter, its a winter wonderland, so much wonder that after a storm you have to actually wonder, "dude wheres my car" ...on that note..My car broke down over the winter forcing me to buy a new one, on top of it I bought a home last weekend and will have it payed off in approx. 15 years! Sad but true, My uncle needed to sell so he could be with his family and I needed a place so I bought. Not only am I broke but I won't be able to make it to any concerts or festivals this summer unless somehow my second job (selling handmade clothing and jewelry and art) will pull me through! I am hoping to still make it to Rothbury, the lineup in amazing and gave me goose bumps when I read it. I would love to make it to Dunegrass secondly to see the famous Richie Havens, he has inspired me through his music for a long time. I am so excited for everyone that will get to be at these shows! Laugh, Dance, and Press your barefeet into our mother earth, feel free and priveledged and carry the music and creative love with you wherever you go!
