Spank Rock DJs Devlin & Darko fly in from Baltimore to get your booty shakin' at Rehab along with Jordan Z., Koncept and Popstatic. RSVP for reduced admission.

A visionary DJ and promoter on the Chicago scene, Jordan Z.'s past
and present parties have inspired and continue to inspire the
city's club veterans and nouveau scenesters alike. The parties he
threw in the early 2000's with Chicago expatriate Tommie Sunshine
brought new blood into the Windy's clubs, but his current events
are the most significant in his career. Dedicated to a
no-holds-barred spirit he inherited from the eclectic radio
programming in his hometown of Detroit, Jordan Z. has helped
resurrect Chicago's reputation as a world-class dealer of dance
music. Jordan Z's early 20's in Chicago were spent as a darling to
the art crowd in the loft party scenes around Wicker Park and
Pilsen. He rocked after parties for the Flaming Lips, got booked to
play with anyone from new comers (at the time) like LCD
Soundsystem, Glass Candy and Har Mar Superstar to highly respected
nu disco don's like Metro Area and Daniel Wang. In the process he
forged bonds between Chicago's dance and indie rock scenes, helping
to usher in an era of cross-cultural exchange unprecedented in the
city's history. Jordan's DJ career began at age 17, playing the
"Three Floors of Fun" nights at St. Andrews Hall in downtown
Detroit. His musical inspirations at the time included a the
Electrifying Mojo radio show ("One of the most significant
underling influence on my presentation of music to dance crowd"),
the Wizards mix show's on WJLB, Wax Tax 'n' Dre, and parties where
you could hear soul records in the same mix as Kraftwerk. Jordan
moved to Chicago at age 20, then gravitated towards the city's vast
indie rock scene. At the same time he learned became fascinated
with older Chicago's post-disco genre bending DJs like Ron Hardy.
Jordan now spends his full- time djing up to four or five times a
week in Chicago, and booking his favorite talent from around the
globe to play Chicago nightclubs, venues, shows, and parties. In
the past year he's booked and played with other artists like
Glasgow's Optimo DJs, XXXchange of Spank Rock, Hot Chip, A Touch of
Class, Roxy Cottontail, Busy P. The Rapture, Cut Copy, CSS, New
Young Pony Club, and many, many others.-M.Raymer
