I am hoping another entry just before deadline might help me to secure some miracle tickets.
I was so excited about this contest I already went and bought a personal portable john from Wal-Mart, becuase I just dont get down in porta-pottys. haha. And that really is no joke.
I want to tell you folks @ http://going.com more about me, so that you truly realize that I deserve to be a chosen contest winner.
Like many of us music enthusiasts I have some very strong, right wing libertarian ideas for government conduct. For this reason I volunteered as a regional chair-person for Dr. Ron Paul's Presidential Campaign. I went to numerous events, rallys, and gun shows promoting his support of the second amendment and libertarianism. As he has finally dropped out of the race I am finding other ways to spread the word of freedom.
I am going to be studying recreation parks and tourism administration at WIU. I currently fullfill my internship requirement by working part time as a concert promoter for local venues and outdoor mini festivals. I do not make much money doing this but it is my passion.
Through these events I am able to share my ideas with a much large audience.
I also gig as percussionist to earn additional income. But still as an independent college student, funds are still very tight, and I dont even wanna think about student loan debts. As to why I deserve said ticket..I live, eat, breathe, sleep, make love to, and worship everything music. Dave has been a favorite of mine for ages and I am told to see him live is a spiritual awakening that one must experience to believe. As for John Mayer, when my heart breaks, the blood in my veins flows to the rhythm of a Mayer melody, usually "Slowdancing in a Burning Room" or "I'm Gonna Find Another You." I am also IN LOVE with the Black Keys. Seeing them festival style would send me back to the 60s...the time I was truly meant to be livin'. Ingrind Michaelson stitched my heart together with threads from the melody of "Keep Breathing" and gauged out the seems with "December Baby." I am a deep fan of too many more of these featured artists to name, and give personal anicdotes to so I digress. My passion for music has lead me down the road of music writing and this would be a pristine opportunity to observe some live action to capture on page. Also, I support Rothbury's desire to keep this a green event. Keeping the earth clean is an issue that needs to be paid more grievious attention to. It is great that such a large event would promote the little know idea of sustainability. I hope to go to Rothbury, with or without a free ride. What better way to spend the day then layin' out with friends, new and old, and listening to some rockin jams? Please send me to Rothbury, I am trying to be as creative as possible. It is leterally in my destiny and fate to win these tickets. These oppurtunities happen for a reason. I really want to be involved in this revolution and be very active in the daily think tanks. I have alot of input that I would like to share on so many issues from government, politics, and economics to New Age Spiritualism and breif tidbits of its overlapping material from Quantum Physics. I am very supportive of all the revolutionary work that Micheal Franti is doing and I want to be a apart of this festival. I am also active in daily transcendental meditation and I also practice the Universal Laws. Please find it in your heart to send me to this festival. I am a student and also a gigging percussionist and money is very tight. But I would love to be apart of the biggest drum circle of all time and they will need experienced players to help guide the rhythm. Please Help a Brotha in Need.
I would do anything to get these tickets. If you miracle me it will play favorably on your Karmic cycle. I promise to pass it forward and try to miracle somone else with either tickets or in another way. I just had two tickets to Phil Lesh last weekend in Chicago (June 13) and I brought along a friend for free. That is why we are all hear is to help eachother make the best of this place. Every year my fiends go to Alpine Valley to see him and I am never able to attend do to work. Another favorite band that is playing is Slightly Stoopid and I have never seen them either and would kill to see them being the top 5 in my favorites. STS9 also is another favorite and a buddy of mine saw them and said it was the best concert he has ever been to so I would also like to see them. Ever since I have been down with high school, I have busted my ass to get ahead in my professian and moved to Texas my first summer after my first year of college and didnt see any of my friends the whole time and would always get calls hearing them at alpine and lala poluza enjoying them self so much and again this summer I am away from home and dont get to see them either but I am alot closer to them being only three hours away but I work full time so I never have a chance to see them. These tickets would allow me to join my friends this summer for the first time and have a wonderful time chillin out and enjoy live amazing music.Last post 519 days ago -
